What games are releasing around GTA 6?
The evidence
The first half of November is busier than October.
In GameSpot's calendar the first twelve days of November carry 28 dated titles, running at 2.33 a day against October's 2.10. The next twelve days carry one, a rate of 0.08. It is not that November is a quiet month — it is that twelve specific days inside it are empty.
Both full calendars agree on the shape even though they disagree on the count.
Video Games Chronicle lists 8 dated November titles and GameSpot lists 31. Both show exactly one title in November 13–24, both show zero sharing the November 19 date, and both show six clear days before it.
The explanation is on the record, as commentary rather than measurement.
Trade and enthusiast outlets report that publishers moved titles out of the window deliberately, into September, October and December. That is reported explanation; the calendar is the evidence.
The release date was confirmed at the publisher's own source.
Rockstar Games' newswire states November 19, 2026. The date has moved twice before, which is why it was checked there rather than taken from coverage.
What would have to be true for this to be wrong
Three published release calendars read directly on October 25, 2026, each measured against itself and never compared across sources, plus Rockstar Games' own newswire for the date. $0.00 metered. Every calendar date from all three sources is published on the study page.

This is one of six decisions covered in the games decision brief — each with the evidence behind it, who owns it, who it is contested with, and what would have to be true for the answer to flip.
